Swim Team Retreat!

We started out making our shirts and i swear, there was no more room on my for any signatures. then we had initiation. it was so weird cuz we had to put on fins, a life vest, and goggle and spin around bent over a bat 3 times, run over to chairs and look for a letter in a pie tin filled with shit. there was ketchup, whip cream, peanut butter, jelly, and mustard (not in that order). i was last and had to look through the mustard, but i couldn't see out of the goggles so i didn't really know where i was going. so when i got to the chair for my group, i just stuck my face in the pie tin and swallowed a whole chunk of mustard. at first i thought it was vomit cuz that's wat it tasted like to me. so when i got back to my group with my letter, i just started hacking and coughing and spitting out as much mustard as i could. a lot of it got up my nose too. my group was the first 1 to get the word right so one of the captians said we could go clean up and i was the first one up the stairs and into the kitchen. i just started blowing my nose and washing my mouth and face, but i still had that taste in my mouth. when i was finally clean enough i had a soda and that got rid of the taste. after that, everyone went back outside and had to wait for some of the captains to get back with personalized candles for us. everyone had to go up to someone and say something nice about them and pass on the flame. one of the girls' candles melted enough that some of it fell on the grass and it was still burning so she stomped it out. it wasn't big though. when everyone had their candle lit we just had a moment of silence then blew our candles out together. after that we all went inside and downstairs to the basement and took turns making cookies upstairs while everyone else was watching Mary Poppins. One of the girls on the team loves the movie so much she just planted herself in front of the TV. me and one of my friends braided one of our friends' hair into nine braids, then into 3 braids, then into one. it was the best braid i have ever done! some people fell asleep pretty early but not very. the ones who stayed awake (including me) watched 21 Jump Street and House Bunnies. Some of the girls went outside and started star tipping and it was HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!! i didn't do it cuz i was too late. a few more people fell asleep while the rest of us were in the kitchen playing 10 fingers (which was also pretty funny). when we wanted to go back into the living room, one of the girls was asleep on the couch so we literally lifted her off. I just went back to my sleeping bag and fell asleep. but i was 1/2 and hour away from pulling an all nighter. so i only go 2 hours of sleep last night. but it was fun! definitely going to go next year too!
